Oroville High School Outreach

OHS 1st Annual Job Fair

Oroville High School is pleased to announce that we will be holding our 1st ever Job Fair for students on March 30th.

We have many fabulous presenters attending to give our kids an idea of what is and will be available to them after graduation.  We will have entry level careers that kids who may not be college bound can look into and jobs available after college.

Although the job market may look sad right now, many good paying careers right here in town have employees of the baby boomer age group that are now and in the near future getting ready to retire.  This will be an opportunity for our students to see what is available, how to go about landing a good paying job, pay scales, advancement opportunities... As parents, you can help at home by talking up the fair to your children.  As always you are also more than

Parent Involvement Seminar

We are please to have been able to schedule Ms. Lorna

Manuel, From theTehama County Department of Ed. to

come and speak with us on Parental Involvement and the

Importance of bringing families and school closer

together.  She will be here on April 28th and 30th and

again on May 1st.  I was able to experience her seminar

first hand and can tell you that you won't be

disappointed.  Space will fill up quickly as all faculty

members will also be in attendance so please contact us

if your interested in this great opportunity to help bridge

the gap between school and home.  Contact Julie at

jmccullo@ouhsd.org if you would like to be a part of the

 great opportunity.

Events & Activities

Oroville High School is pleased to announce that

we will be holding our 2nd annual Diversity Day

on April 17th at lunch.  Last years event was a pure joy

for students, staff, parents and community

members.  What started out to be an extended

lunch period where different clubs could

showcase food, art and crafts from different

cultures turned out to be a fun filled community

event.  This years Diversity Day will also include

a career fair where students can check out

different careers, colleges, military and have

professionals answer questions about job

outlook, pay scales, and information on how to

prepare for that job of your dreams.
